Budapest Retreat – Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a relaxing wellness retreat?
No — the Budapest Camp is best described as an immersive pole & aerial training holiday and workshop experience rather than a traditional spa or wellness retreat.
The week is designed for students who enjoy learning, movement, fitness, progression and trying new experiences in an energetic group environment.
While there is free time to explore Budapest, visit thermal spas and enjoy social activities, the core focus of the event is training, workshops, coaching and personal progression.
Some workshops can feel physically and mentally challenging depending on your experience level, confidence and preferred learning style.
What are the instructors and teaching styles like?
One of the unique parts of the Budapest Camp is the opportunity to train with a variety of international instructors and coaching styles.
Some instructors may teach in a more direct, technical or intensive way than students are used to in regular weekly classes, particularly within specialist workshops and professional development environments.
However, all instructors aim to support safe progressions and help students work at an appropriate level wherever possible.
We encourage attendees to approach the week with an open mind, positive attitude and willingness to step outside their comfort zone while always respecting their own personal limits.
Are workshops suitable for beginners?
Yes — beginners are welcome.
Many classes are mixed ability with progressions and adaptations available. However, due to the nature of an intensive training camp, some workshops may naturally feel more advanced, physically demanding or faster paced than standard weekly studio classes.
Students are always encouraged to work at their own level, take breaks where needed and communicate with instructors if they feel uncomfortable with any movement or progression.
What are the accommodation arrangements?
Accommodation is based at Central Hotel 21 in Budapest’s Palace District area.
Most packages include shared accommodation in 3, 4 or 5-person rooms with private bathroom facilities. Guests booking VIP packages may upgrade to twin, double or private room options.
Shared accommodation is part of the social group experience and helps keep the camp accessible and affordable for a wider range of attendees.
Is Budapest safe?
Budapest is one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations and the camp is located in a central area with good transport links, cafés and restaurants nearby.
As with visiting any major international city, attendees should remain aware of their surroundings and are encouraged to travel in pairs or groups where possible during evenings.
A safety briefing and local guidance will be provided during the event week.
Who is this camp best suited for?
This camp is ideal for:
-
Students who enjoy intensive learning environments
-
People wanting rapid progression and variety
-
Pole and aerial enthusiasts wanting inspiration
-
Solo travellers happy joining a group environment
-

-
