Pole Fitness & Dance is a great way to get fit while having fun!

Our classes are small, friendly and suitable for all ages and fitness levels - you don't need to be able to hold your own bodyweight to start!

 

What's involved?

In Pole Fitness and Dance lessons, we learn different movements around a pole. This includes movements such as spins and flowing movements, holds like sitting on the pole, and strength moves like climbing.

Some of the movements are upside down (we call them inverts). We spot you when you're learning these, to make sure you don't hurt yourself. You learn the moves at your own pace and there is no pressure to go upside down if you don't want to. 

What do I wear?


Close fitting clothing that you feel comfortable in and does not restrict your movements. We train in bare feet or trainers. Avoid baggy clothes, jewellery and zips / catches.

What should I bring?


A water bottle and yourself! You may also want warm clothes to put on at the end, and a sweat towel if you think you need one. Cleaning products are provided in class.

I knew no one where I lived after moving to Crawley from London so was very nervous when I sent the Email to Anna asking for information on how to start at pole class. I needn’t have been so nervous. From the minute I walked into the studio, Anna was so welcoming and made me feel at home. Four years on, I feel like Anna and everyone at Flaunta are my family. They made me feel like part of a close family and I wouldn’t be without them now. Starting pole has completely changed my confidence and strength. I am a bigger girl and thought I would really struggle with pole however I could not have been more wrong. In fact some moves are easier when you’re on the bigger side. As Anna says “thick thighs save lives!” Honestly, give it a go. I can’t guarantee you won’t become obsessed with it though!

Anna is a fantastic teacher who will push at your own speed so every lesson you feel you’ve improved or learnt something new!
